The Bosak lab attended GSA 2015 in Baltimore, MD. Shane O’Reily (postdoctoral associate)  gave a talk on the “molecular evidence for a microbial role in ooid formation” and Kelsey Moore (1st year graduate student) spoke on “microfossil assemblages in the Cyrogenian non-glacial interlude.” Tanja Bosak gave the keynote talk for the Geobiology of Critical Transitions session, which was held on the last day of the conference. Sharon Newman (4th year graduate student) also presented in this session on the preservation of cyanobacteria in siliciclastic environments.
